The worst curse is ok but blasphemy is out

The other night I was watching tv about agrophobics and one of the people said “oh my f*cking beep”. I couldn’t believe it!!!! When did society believe that fu*k is better on tv than the word god? What is happening to this world????

Well done Broncos… thanks for a great season Storm!

Another season of Rugby League has finished and my team, Melbourne Storm, unfotunately lost the grand final but won the season. And the hearts of a nation with their amazing gamesmanship, spirit and ability.

Thanks for the memories boys!

To the victors: Congratulations from a Queenslander. From what I have read they played a great game and a re deserved victors.

Seeing that the first team I supported in the top national grade was the Broncos, I have a bittersweet feeling of joy at their victory.

Now… for Queensland to win the State of Origin again next year… :)

Ciao for now…
Ian

Spooks…

There is a great series produced by the BBC: Spooks - MI5 not 9 to 5. Each season has been brilliant and ahead of its time. Compelling and compulsive viewing.

Tonight I got to see the first 2 episodes and I am really looking forward to seeing the third tomorrow night. My appetite for the fifth series has well and truly been whet.

In Oz I believe the series is run on the ABC and if you get a chance to watch it sit back and enjoy. It certainly beats the pants off Neighbours or Home and Away…

The Amazing Race…

September 17, 2006 on 2:45 pm | In Travel news, TV | No Comments

The best reality show on the planet starts off again tonight with 12 2 person teams racing each other around… well.. the planet.

This is always fun to watch as people get thrown into situations that they have never thought possible. So far I have seen people haggling in markets in Morocco, peddling there wares in India, sombre moments in Soweto, sky diving in the carribean, putting furniture together in Ikea in Stockholm and racing buggies in the mud in Queensland.

There is also the human element as well. Last season we saw Tyler and BJ (the winners) picking up a hitch hiking Bedouin and becoming friends with him. But the best experience is watching people struggle and ultimately overcome their fears. Like the hispanic lady that was scared of deep water being cheered on by Russian swimmers and her daughter as she dove into a pool. Or that great experience of watching 61 year old bungee jump and being rewarded with a kiss and hug from her husband of 45 years… moving stuff.

The 10th season website is at: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race10/ BUT BEFORE YOU CLICK REMEMBER THIS… It will be updated after the show so if you are a couple weeks behind (like Oz is) DONT GO THERE!!!!

Enjoy the season… I always do!
